Types of dental braces
Dental braces can be made of metal, ceramic or special plastic. We have different types of braces which include:
- Metal braces
Nowadays, braces are more visually appealing than in past years, with a range of color options for both the brackets and the elastics.
- Ceramic braces
Ceramic braces (also called clear braces) use clear or tooth-colored brackets made of ceramic, just as the name suggests.
- Self-ligating braces
Instead of using rubber bands to connect the brackets to the archwire, self-ligating braces use a specialized bracket that clips directly to the wire.
- Lingual braces
Lingual braces are attached to the inside surface of your teeth, majorly for aesthetic reasons.
- Clear aligners like Invisalign
With Invisalign, the aligners are transparent and invisible (no metal bands or wires), therefore nobody is going to realize that you are undergoing treatment.

Teeth alignment treatment is generally not covered by medical insurance, except with particular insurance providers and the nature of the case. At House of Dentistry, we allow teeth alignment treatment to be paid for over a period of time. With a minimum deposit of 30%, one can start treatment.
